The masjid prides itself for having an extensive library of Islamic literatures. Built in 1993, it is located in the West and is one of the pioneer masjids offering computer facilities to Muslims. It can accommodate up to 3,000 worshippers. The masjid built under the Mosque Building Fund also has complete jenazah (death ritual) services, which is rare among the other mosques. One of its strength is its family development unit, which offers assistance in cash and kind to needy families, single parents as well as kidney patients.

Muslimah prayer area:
Just not as the same as the previous ones I went to where the Muslimahs have their own level, this Masjid has a partitioned area at the back where the men pray~
Well, two doors are somehow wide open and I feel that people could just stand outside to look at the Muslimahs praying... hmMmmm... Well, nothing much to do I guess since it's an old building and it's only a level of praying~

Comments:
The masjid was originally built in 1890 and was rebuilt in 1993...  Surprisingly, it is managed by the Johore government!!! Read its story here...

Comments:
Kinda traditional type of Masjid... Cause it was built during colonial times and hence, has been gazetted as a national monument. Built in 1824, it was one of the first few masjids to be built on the island. It was later rebuilt in 1920...

The masjid is a mix of Classical, Persian, Moorish and Turkish themes that form what is known as the Islamic Saracenic style. Located in the Central, it has a capacity of 2000 people and is one of the most frequented prayer venue.

It is a relatively new Masjid... The mosque which can accommodate about 4,000 people at one time was opened to the public on 9th April 2004... Looks kinda modern... Bright and spacious~ Nice nice experience praying in the Masjid...
