Assalam Alaikum,
It's just amazing to be with my muslimah sisters as they never fail to tell me about how to identify the nationality of a muslimahs by looking at their headscarf and the dressing! =D
I can still hardly tell which muslimah is from malaysia, indonesia, singapore, etc... But my friends could! hehehe~ I guess it's just like me identifying, easily, who are the taiwanese, hong kong-ers, china chinese, malaysian chinese, etc.
Anyway, I was wondering... How does a chinese muslimah looks like in China... hee~ So, I found this website~
Some photos look un-islamic and the guys look weird... Maybe just not used to seeing Chinese guys wearing those costumes... And and... There is a photo of a Chinese bride wearing BRIGHT RED!!! That's really a walking red packet....
opPppsSsss... I don't mean to make so much comments... Just making an analogy here~
But I like the one in pink... hee~ Nice! =D
I should show my parents these photos... See, Chinese looks nice all covered up in loose clothings too! It's not just the Malays and arabs... hehehe~
I wonder how they'll react... hahahaha~
W'salam,

Haha yea there are differences in the way Muslimahs in Sg, Indo, Malaysian wear their hijaab. I realised (from my own observations), usually Malaysian sisters prefer flowery hijaab compared to the plain hijaab, sisters wear here. As for Indo sisters, most of them wear the 'pull over the head hijaab'.. Or you can tell where they are from just by looking at the way muslimahs dress hehe.
ReplyDeleteWell I can't really tell Chinese people apart too until they start talking then perhaps it'll give their identity away from their accent..
:)
Assalamulaikum
ReplyDeletecheck this out. a Hijab blog from half japanese Muslimah

Salam sis!
ReplyDeleteFor me I've been in love with the traditional Chinese women clothing after watching loads of drama series e.g. Green green grass by the river, etc. they're sooo pretty n sweet & fits the Islamic dresscode :D
After married, I kept on 'pestering' by lao gong to buy for me one, but he kept saying that they're are not available in Malaysia..alamak..huhuu.. =.=''
Salam!=D
ReplyDeleteThe traditional chinese dressing is soOoo much conservative... Till my grandma generation... till then, everything goes haywire...
Maybe one day, we should bring back those dressing of the olden emperor age kind of dressing! hahahaha~
We might be mistaken as 'extras' in dramas... =D
