..The test of Zina (fornication)..

Assalam Alaikum,

A funny funny video for a serious topic! =D

Especially for those who are chatting with the opposite gender (or has intention), without the intention of getting into the marriage contract, recognise that this is one of the steps towards zina, set by shaytan~

Fear Allah swt~

Set the intention to stop this action and make plans to stop shaytan of leading you further into sin...

May Allah swt keeps us away from the whispering of shaytan, keeps us away from the bad, the bad away from us and to make good deeds easy for us to carry out~

Ameen! Ameen! Ameen!

..Fun Learning through PLAY!..

Assalam Alaikum,

Alhamdulillah! I've recently published a forum on educating children by means of fun learning through play.

I was teaching for a short period in a primary school... Enough time for me to see that something is not right with the system. And so, I quitted~ haa! Still, educating children remains as a focus for what I would contribute to the society~

The intention of setting this forum is to create a platform for educators (teachers, parents, etc.) to make learning fun for children, which includes
  • sharing of resources
  • mutual support of children's learning process
  • empowering educators (other than school teachers) to provide learning opportunities children in daily life experiences
Less chalk and talk, more interaction and learning!

So my small contribution to make learning fun for children! Please share this site and do make dua that this is beneficial~

May Allah swt gives us opportunities to use our abilities to make a positive difference in society~ Ameen!

..shaytan in disguise..

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle deputed me to keep Sadaqat (al-Fitr) of Ramadan. A comer came and started taking handfuls of the foodstuff (of the Sadaqa) (stealthily). I took hold of him and said, "By Allah, I will take you to Allah's Apostle ." He said, "I am needy and have many dependents, and I am in great need."

I released him, and in the morning Allah's Apostle asked me, "What did your prisoner do yesterday?" I said, "O Allah's Apostle! The person complained of being needy and of having many dependents, so, I pitied him and let him go." Allah's Apostle said, "Indeed, he told you a lie and he will be coming again."

I believed that he would show up again as Allah's Apostle had told me that he would return. So, I waited for him watchfully. When he (showed up and) started stealing handfuls of foodstuff, I caught hold of him again and said, "I will definitely take you to Allah's Apostle. He said, "Leave me, for I am very needy and have many dependents. I promise I will not come back again." I pitied him and let him go.

In the morning Allah's Apostle asked me, "What did your prisoner do." I replied, "O Allah's Apostle! He complained of his great need and of too many dependents, so I took pity on him and set him free." Allah's Apostle said, "Verily, he told you a lie and he will return."

I waited for him attentively for the third time, and when he (came and) started stealing handfuls of the foodstuff, I caught hold of him and said, "I will surely take you to Allah's Apostle as it is the third time you promise not to return, yet you break your promise and come." He said, "(Forgive me and) I will teach you some words with which Allah will benefit you." I asked, "What are they?" He replied, "Whenever you go to bed, recite "Ayat-al-kursi"-- 'Allahu la ilaha illa huwa-l-Haiy-ul Qaiyum' till you finish the whole verse. (If you do so), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you and no satan will come near you till morning. " So, I released him.

In the morning, Allah's Apostle asked, "What did your prisoner do yesterday?" I replied, "He claimed that he would teach me some words by which Allah will benefit me, so I let him go."

Allah's Apostle asked, "What are they?" I replied, "He said to me, 'Whenever you go to bed, recite Ayat-al-kursi from the beginning to the end ---- Allahu la ilaha illa huwa-lHaiy-ul-Qaiyum----.' He further said to me, '(If you do so), Allah will appoint a guard for you who will stay with you, and no satan will come near you till morning.' (Abu Huraira or another sub-narrator) added that they (the companions) were very keen to do good deeds.

The Prophet said, "He really spoke the truth, although he is an absolute liar. Do you know whom you were talking to, these three nights, O Abu Huraira?" Abu Huraira said, "No." He said, "It was Satan." (Sahih Bukhari Book #38, Hadith #505t)

..Truth graffiti..

Assalam Alaikum,

Something to share~ Look at the words on the graffiti!
Reminds me of the ayat...
And say: "truth has (now) arrived, and falsehood perished: for falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish."

..طُوبَىٰ (Ţūbā) to the strangers!..

Assalam Alaikum,

The photo shows it all... The journey of the strangers is part in darkness and part in light~

Excerpt from the book, page 101
"Islam began as something strange and it will return to being something strange, so طُوبَىٰ to the strangers!" It was asked of him, 'Messenger of Allah, who are they?" He replied, "Those who correct the affairs at a time when the people become corrupt."
Ahmad records on the authority of Muttalib ibn Hantab that the Prophet said, "طُوبَىٰ is for the strangers." They asked, 'Messenger of Allah, who are the strangers?' He replied, "Those who increase when the people are decreasing."
If the wording of this hadith is preserved and not mistakenly altered by the narrator from 'those who decrease when the people are increasing,' the meaning would be: those who increase in goodness, faith and piety when the people are decreasing in them. Allah knows best.
Ibn Mas'ud reports that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "Islam began as something strange and it will return to being strange just as it began, so طُوبَىٰ for the strangers!? It as asked of him, 'Messenger of Allah, who are the strangers?' He replied, "Those who have departed from the tribes."
'Abdullah ibn 'Amr reports that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "طُوبَىٰ for the strangers." It was asked of him, 'Messenger of Allah, who are the strangers?' He replied, "A small group of righteous people amongst a large number of evil people; those who disobey them are greater in number than those who obey them."
Ahmad records on the authority of 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "The most beloved thing to Allah is the strangers." It was asked, "Who are the strangers?' He replied, "Those who flee in order to safeguard their religion; they will gather with 'Isa ibn Maryam on the Day of Judgement."

..I have no authority over you..

Assalam Alaikum,
"I will mislead them, and I will create in them false desires; I will order them to slit the ears of cattle, and to deface the (fair) nature created by Allah." Whoever, forsaking Allah, takes satan for a friend, hath of a surety suffered a loss that is manifest. Satan makes them promises, and creates in them false desires; but satan's promises are nothing but deception.
( سورة النساء , An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #119-120)

May Allah swt protects us from the whispering of Shaytan and not make us a test/trial for each other... Ameen!

..Marriage! A gift of mercy!..

Assalam Alaikum,

Marriage is a gift of mercy from Allah swt.. Just as Hawa was gifted to Prophet Adam (AS) after a long constant dua for a partner as he was feeling lonely on duniya, woman is gifted to men as a partner on this journey on duniya~

Marriage is made easy by Allah swt to keep us from the haram of zina~ But people has made marriage difficult and zina easy~ Fear Allah swt~

A refresher video for the ones who are in marriage now and an introduction to those who are getting married~

May Allah swt protects us from whispering of Shaytan before marriage and during marriage~ Ameen!

..The TRUE role of media...

Assalam Alaikum,

In this video, Mufti Menk talked about the true intention behind media~

Beware of what are on TV, internet, advertisement, etc... For we might end up being a pawn of the evildoings~

O ye who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done.
 ( سورة الحجرات , Al-Hujraat, Chapter #49, Verse #6)

May Allah swt protects us from the bad and brings us closer to the good~ Ameen~

..Depressed, suicidal thoughts..

Assalam Alaikum,

For those suffering from sadness and struggling to fill that void, Sh. Yassir Fazaga might give you a glimpse of what you are going through~

According to Sh Yassir, depression is a form of challenges faced in our lives~ On contrary to common beliefs, it is not necessary character weakness nor in iman (faith)...

So, what is depression?

Depression is the pain that we are going through that is soOooo overwhelming that we do not have enough tools to deal with the pain~

SoOooo painful to the extreme degree that we want to die, whom some of us did try to commit suicide... But for some, we know clearly that we can't go into that route as it is forbidden to take our lives, only Our Creator can~

Sh Yassir Fazaga mentioned a few symptoms [Time 08:35]...

  • Feeling fatigue
  • Feeling sense of hopelessness
  • losing interest
  • seeking isolation
  • thinking about death
  • not taking pleasure in things which they have found pleasure in doing in past
  • feeling down most of the day
  • little tolerance for irritants
  • feeling down

..Make things easy...

..Dua needed...

Assalam Alaikum,

These two ayat summarise all for every of us~
Ameen~

W'salam,
Khadijah C.

Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere, Who say, when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return":- They are those on whom (Descend) blessings from Allah, and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance.
( سورة البقرة , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #155-157)
On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."

..Beware of translation of Qur'an..

Assalam Alaikum,

There are times when we see the Christians doing their 'preaching' in busy city/town centers~

Recently, there is this group of Christians who are giving out leaflets in city center. And I noticed that they do gave it to the muslim reverts (Well, I got it twice!)~

The two Christians that I took the leaflets from are of Asian origin... So I thought they were muslims giving dawah resources and it would be polite to take it from them when they offered~

But on closer look at the leaflets, they were about Bible and Jesus Christ~

The first time when I got the leaflet, I was in hurry and didn't take a good look at the leaflet on the spot... But the second time when I got the leaflet, I spend some time talking to the 'brother' who gave me the leaflet~

My mister was with me so we ended up having a good conversation with the 'brother', named Sam... In between conversation, we got to ask about him... He's origin from Country P, mum is a Muslim and dad's a Sikh... and one day, they decided to embrace Jesus Christ as their saviour... And so that's what he said...

I was like... (*o*)!

Anyway, Sam brought up this issue on creation in 6 days... He was using the English translation version of the Quran to debate with my mister that in Surah Fussilat (41:9-11) creation was told to be completed in 8 days~

And as we know that Arabic is way way way more superior than English... Hence, we repeatedly told him that we should not debate on the English translation as it might be translated not to the exact meaning of the word...

And so what we said is true...

According to Dr. Zakir Naik, who mentioned in the video below... There is an issue with translating and interpreting the word ثُمَّ  to English. Most English translation of the Qur'an translated it to 'then', which leads to contradiction to the addition of days to 8 days... But if ثُمَّ is to be translated as   'simultaneously', then the addition of days will be to 6 days...

Anyway, the point here I would like to make is that these Christians would choose the reverts to put confusion in them... What a technique!

hai... So much distractions on the straight path~

May Allah swt protects us and gives us the guidance to identify the right and wrong... Ameen~
