:: Pink money ::

Assalam Alaikum,

Someone brought up the topic of 'pink money' in class yesterday. So, I thought I could check it out what it is~

Oh my... It's really shocking what the world is coming to... Or has it been like this, just that I was too "protective" from all these happenings?

Maybe because of the purchasing power of the gay community, the politicians are giving them their rights... Just in order to bring in more money to the economy~

Allahu Alam~

This is indeed saddening... =(

A study this month by the International Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce confirmed what savvy brands have known for years -- the gay community has major wallet clout and represents vast potential growth for marketers.

The study estimates that the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (GLBT) population is two-million strong in Canada, representing total spending power of $100-billion a year.

The chamber of commerce report says the "pink money" market segment has great purchasing power, consumers faithful to their favourite brands and a higher discretionary income than the general population.

In many parts of the West, the purchasing power of the gay community has long been acknowledged in areas of retail from clothes and travel to bars and nightclubs.

"If there is a market for the pink dollar and pink pound, then it is time for pink rupee in India to make its presence felt," said Malhotra.

"Gay men are the biggest spenders on lifestyle products. They have maximum disposable incomes and do not hesitate to pay a bit extra if their needs are addressed," he said.

Pink money describes the purchasing power of the gay community, often especially with respect to political donations.

With the rise of the gay rights movement, pink money has gone from being a fringe or marginalized market to a thriving industry in many parts of the Western world such as the United States and United Kingdom.

Many businesses now specifically cater to homosexual customers, including nightclubs, shops, restaurants, and even taxicabs; the demand for these services stems from commonly perceived discrimination by traditional businesses. Worldwide, pink money is valued at £350 billion across a variety of sectors - especially entertainment and consumer goods.

The economic power of pink money has been seen as a force positive for the gay community, creating a kind of "financial self-identification" which helps gay and lesbian individuals feel like part of a community which values them. Indeed, upwards of 90% of homosexuals support businesses which target pink money, while actively shunning "anti-gay" companies. However, criticism has been leveled at businesses which target pink money from homosexual groups, arguing that this segregates the gay and lesbian community from society, and holds back gay rights.

The above should show you that homosexuality is a curse. 99% of 350 billion goes into medical and psychiatrist bills !
Summery : Such "research" is to encourage business to market homosexuality.

The above post can show you that such "research" and "invention" of words is to force businesses to market homosexuality

  3. Assalam Alaikum,

I'm not surprise with this statistics of that...

"59.6% of homosexuals are college graduates. 18.0% of the general population are college graduates (24). Too bad they aren't smart enough to listen to God. "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools" (Romans 1:22)."

As shown even in my uni, homosexuality is soOoo much openly being promoted...
