:: Ans. to the million dollar Qn ::

Assalam Alaikum,

I was listening to Sis. Aminah and she said something which caught my attention and would like to share it~ Someone asked me a-million-dollar qn on what is the biggest challenge in the ummah... I didn't know at that time... But now I got the answer!!!

Indeed, the breakdown of this ummah is because of individual Muslim... I am guilty of it as well... Subconsciously, we are dividing ourselves... "Born-muslims", "revert muslims", "sunni", "shia", "Chinese Muslim", "Malay Muslim", "US muslim", "China muslim", "Pakistani muslim"... and the list goes on...

Really, it starts with each and every individual of us to build the glory of Islam again~ Well, this is a bit too complex for me and far-fetch but something I know... If we were to follow the Qur'an and Sunnah, as closely as possible, in every aspect of our lives... We could start to make wonder to everyone around us~ =D

Well, below is an excerpt from her speech. The speech starts from 18:00, so just gotta fastforward it, unless you wanna listen to the whole speech... Have a nice time reflecting~ 

"You are Muslim. Muslim means that you live in submission to Allah. You cannot live in absolute submission to that which you are not familiar with. You, as muslim, must return to reading the Qur'an and reading the Hadith, starting the sunnah and apply it to your lives. 

On the day of judgement, you will answer to Allah for what you have done and what you have not done, and that includes seeking knowledge and applying the knowledge to your life and your existence with each other.  

At this time, we, the best of ummahs, suffer the greatest level of persecution. 
At this time, we, the best of ummahs, live on the lowest income this worldwide. 
At this time, we, the best of ummahs, have power not over ourselves or anyone else.
There is only one reason. The blame does not lie with anyone else, except with each one of you. 

We cannot blame the Jews, we cannot blame the broadcasters, we cannot blame the Christians, we cannot blame the government, we cannot blame the political systems. 

We could not be conquered for without until we destroy ourselves from within and we cannot return to power again until we build that, which must be built from within first.  

We must know Qur'an and Sunnah, we must apply Qur'an and Sunnah in our every aspect of our existence. No more excuses... No more excuses... No more laying of blame on others... It's us... We must become Muslims. 

People said we need cultural basis as a point of reference in communicating with each other.  This is what they used to justify to me. This is why we identify ourselves as Egyptians, as Pakistanis, as Indians, as Jordanians, as Palestinians, as whatever. 

We have one point of reference and only one point of reference.... *disrupted by a boy* 

We must identify ourselves by the only point of reference that exists - Allah, Islam. We must not allow ourselves to be separated anymore by artificial boundaries and artificial identities. 

Allah did not make you Egyptians, Allah did not you Jordanians, Allah did not make you Palestinians, Allah did not make you Pakistanis... Allah make you Muslim. 

There is only one point of reference necessary for a muslim to communicate to another muslim, that is Allah.. Qur'an and Sunnah. We cannot allow ourselves to be rip apart and be destroyed from within by accepting artificial boundaries and allowing anything but Allah as our point of reference..."
