one of very important thing to do before solat is Istinja'. that's including washing the private part after peeing or pooping (Istijmar). in fact we must wash every time after doing our 'business'.
this may sound alien to ppl from chinese background because traditionally chinese don't wash after using loo. its okay for muslims to wipe with toilet paper if the condition fulfill. but its better to wash using water to be safe.
No offence but I just would like to clarify... We're just on the learning journey of life so we just learn from each other...
Different cultures have different ways of washing~ Traditionally Chinese do not wash with water, but doesn't really mean they don't wash after using the loo... Chinese has a long rich history of strict discipline and moral upbringing... So... Basically, chinese takes care of hygiene too! =D
